Hi! I’m Alexis, and I’d like to personally welcome you to the Top-Sutton-Must-Sees. I grew up in a quiet town in New Jersey with two loving parents who emphasized kindness, and I hope I’ve done them proud by carrying that into my adult life everywhere I can. We were fortunate enough to frequent Disney almost every year, and it wasn’t long until I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up: a Theme Park Engineer. And so, I shouldered my bags and left for school in Daytona Beach, Florida. Here, I studied engineering, and soon after was lucky enough to be selected for the Disney College Program. There, I was reminded exactly what all this hard work was for and was even more empowered to keep chasing my dream. Upon graduation, in 2018, I was offered a position in the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) at Lockheed Martin back home in NJ. I was devastated to leave my chosen home, but I knew, in the long-run, this program would set me up for the career I so deeply wanted. In August 2024, I finally resumed my journey with a new goal in mind: the pursuit of an M.S. in Themed Experience at the University of Central Florida. To accomplish this, I had to make a true leap of faith. I left the stability and comfort of my job at Lockheed, shouldered my bags once again, and voyaged to the very heart of the industry in Orlando, FL. Now, I am perfectly positioned to fully immerse myself in a world of storytelling: a career of bringing people together and helping them find a reason to smile.
